Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, the first major video game based on the Warrior Cats franchise, will launch on October 23 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, GameRant reports.
In the game, players create their own cat, join a Clan, and fight in 3v3 turn-based battles. The game features iconic cats and locations from the books, including ThunderClan forests, RiverClan Marshlands, ShadowClan pine swamps, and WindClan moors.
The game includes Prophecy mode with four original stories, Defender mode as an endurance test, and Skirmish mode for online multiplayer battles. Players can also customize their den, visit friends' camps online, craft items, and gift resources to friends.
The Warrior Cats franchise began in 2003 with Warriors: Into the Wild. The current story arc, Changing Skies, has seen four releases, with Book 4, Guiding Light, released earlier in October 2026. The Warrior Cats books have sold over 90 million copies worldwide.
