Call of Duty: Warzone Shuts Down on PS4 and Xbox One

The legacy console servers went offline on Friday, November 6, the same day Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launched on current platforms.

Call of Duty: Warzone shut down permanently on PS4 and Xbox One on Friday, November 6, according to gamerant.com. The legacy console servers went offline on the same day that Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launched.

Warzone remains playable on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2. The current version of the battle royale received Modern Warfare 4 content with the start of Season 1, including the Hajin map.

Modern Warfare 4 itself does not support PS4 or Xbox One. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners therefore have no way to access the new Call of Duty release or the current Warzone build on their hardware.

Warzone first released on March 10, 2020, before the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S existed, and arrived during the COVID-19 pandemic. The game is developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and published by Activision.

The Hajin map is also used by Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode.
