CD Projekt Red has revealed the download sizes for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, the free update coming to existing owners of the game on September 29. Social media director Marcin Momot shared the figures on X.
Players on PC, PS4, and Xbox will download about 45 GB of content. Nintendo Switch 2 players face a larger download: a 50 GB game that is separate from the original Switch version.
The final install size for the remastered game has not been confirmed. For reference, the Complete Edition of the original game requires 57.26 GB on Steam, while the first game in The Witcher series had a 15 GB file size.
CD Projekt Red is also developing The Witcher 4 on Unreal Engine 5, and the first Witcher game is set to receive a remake. The studio has not announced a release date for either project.
