Mod Replaces Every Griffon in The Witcher 3 Remastered With Low-Poly Pigeon

Modder grapedia swaps all griffons for giant low-poly pigeons and replaces griffin sounds with cooing in The Witcher 3 Remastered.

Modder grapedia has released a mod for The Witcher 3 Remastered that replaces every griffon in the game with a giant low-poly pigeon, according to a report by Kotaku. The mod is titled Low-Poly Pigeon – The Revenge.

Its description also states that griffin sounds are swapped out for pigeon cooing, so the creatures no longer screech as they attack.

The pigeon asset first gained attention after The Witcher 3 Remastered released in 2022, when players spotted the low-poly bird and turned it into the game's unofficial mascot. At the end of last month, when the remaster launched again, players briefly believed CD Projekt had altered the asset. The studio had buffed pigeons standing on the ground, but flying pigeons still appear low-poly.

The mod is available now, though no price or download figures were given.
