Wizardry Variants Daphne opens second-anniversary Abyss ad campaign

Outdoor ads in Shinjuku, Shibuya and Umeda are joined by a monster-sighting bounty campaign, with in-game items running until November 1.

Wizardry Variants Daphne has started its second-anniversary campaign, 4gamer.net reported. The promotion pairs outdoor advertising in three Japanese cities with an in-game item distribution and a monster-sighting bounty campaign.

At Shinjuku Station's Metro Promenade in Tokyo, a space where players can experience the Abyss visually and aurally is on display from October 19 to 25. In Shibuya and Umeda in Osaka, a map showing where countless monsters appear is published from October 19 to November 1, and sightings can be reported through QR codes.

To take part in the monster sighting bounty campaign, participants follow the game's official X account and either share through the QR codes in the ads or post photos or videos of the ads with a designated hashtag. Prizes are awarded by lottery, including a pure gold dog tag (K24, about 15g) and a 20,000 yen Amazon gift card.

In-game items will be distributed according to the number of qualifying posts and the number of QR code or NFC reads on the second-anniversary special page. That distribution runs from October 19 to November 1 at 23:59.
