Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Forever, a third major MMO iteration set in a time bubble, launching November 4 on Mac and Windows PC.
Blizzard Entertainment unveiled World of Warcraft Forever at BlizzCon 2026, describing it as the third major iteration of its long-running MMO. The game is set in a time bubble that excludes the major expansions which changed the original World of Warcraft.
Forever will add new zones, quests, dungeons, and a new playable race, along with quality-of-life improvements distinct from the original game. The level cap is 60 and will remain at 60.
According to lead game designer Tim Jones and lead software engineer Nora Valletta, who spoke with Polygon, the design approach aims to make new content feel like it could have existed in 2004.
The game is currently in beta testing and launches on November 4 for Mac and Windows PC.
