WoW: Forever Beta Progress to Be Wiped, Name Reservations Open
Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Forever beta will wipe all progress after it ends. Name reservations are open for players who bought the $60 beta access.
Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that all progress made in the World of Warcraft: Forever beta will be wiped once the test concludes. The beta has been running and will continue until the game releases in November.
Access to the beta costs $60 (£52). The full game, however, is included with a normal World of Warcraft subscription.
Demand for the beta has been high enough that Blizzard increased the population cap twice. Even so, server queues appeared on November 17.
Players who purchased beta access can now reserve their character names. As reported by pcgamer.com, the wipe means those reservations will matter when the game goes live in November.
