WoW: Forever Beta Sets Records, Blizzard Says
Blizzard says the World of Warcraft: Forever beta is setting records as it runs through October 21 ahead of a November 4 launch.
World of Warcraft: Forever, a modified version of WoW Classic, is in beta and Blizzard says the numbers are unlike anything it has seen in years. The beta began on September 17 with an initial level cap of 20 and is scheduled to run through October 21.
Access to the beta requires purchasing the $60 Skyborne Epic Pack, which also unlocks the new playable Skyborne race. Blizzard has increased the beta's population cap multiple times to accommodate demand.
According to GameSpot, Holly Longdale said the beta was setting records, while Josh Greenfield said the test has been "crazy" and cited the craziest numbers in his 17 years at Blizzard.
The full launch is slated for November 4. Forever was announced during BlizzCon 2026's opening ceremony and will launch with full controller support.
