WoW: Forever Fan Add-On Flags Real-Money Trading
The IRS add-on compares players' historical gold to income data and inspects trades; a Twitch demo flagged most of host Ziqo's own gold as illegitimate.
A fan of World of Warcraft: Forever has built an add-on called IRS (Illicit Riches Scanner) that detects real-money trading, according to gamesradar.com.
The add-on compares a player's historical gold against income statistics to flag unaccounted gold, and it also examines in-game trades.
It was shown during a Twitch stream hosted by Ziqo, who received a beta file directly from its creator. Ziqo described the add-on as bugged, and it flagged most of his own gold as illegitimate.
The add-on has not yet been released for public download.
Older real-money trading flashpoints
World of Warcraft: Forever was revealed at BlizzCon 2026, raising concerns about real-money trading. In the past week, Blizzard removed $200 worth of gold from Ziqo after players flagged it as accumulated through real-money trading, and the company has warned Forever players that its stance on the practice is clear and that it will continue to take action.
