Blizzard Details WoW: Forever Launch, Raids, and 2027 Roadmap

The studio says a monthly WoW subscription will cover the game, with the beta running through October 21, 2026.

Blizzard Entertainment has detailed launch plans for World of Warcraft: Forever, the game set to arrive on November 4, 2026, according to GameSpot. The studio also outlined endgame content and a post-launch roadmap that stretches into Summer 2027.

The game will be playable with a monthly WoW subscription. The Forever beta runs through October 21, 2026, and access is included with the $60 Skyborne Epic Pack or the $80 WoW: Forever Collection. That collection also bundles the Forsaken Kingdom campaign from Warcraft 3: Reforged. Blizzard is charging $30 separately for access to the new playable race, the Skyborne.

Forever's endgame raids unlock on December 9, 2026, for players who have reached level 60. The expansion adds more than 1,000 new quests, four new zones, thousands of new items, class changes, and new gameplay systems.

What Comes After Launch

At BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard announced a roadmap for WoW: Forever running through Summer 2027, covering new raids, dungeons, quests, and a Hardcore permadeath server. The studio is also surveying the community about potential new classes, and associate production director Clay Stone and executive producer and VP for WoW Holly Longdale have discussed the plans.

The original World of Warcraft launched in 2004, and Blizzard has released 11 expansions over the past two decades. It re-released the original game as WoW Classic in 2019.
