Microsoft prices Xbox cloud gaming packs from $3.99

Xbox Insiders can pay for ad-free cloud streaming from October 22, 2026 without a Game Pass subscription, ahead of a November rollout.

Microsoft has set the introductory prices for its paid Xbox cloud gaming time packs at $3.99 for 10 hours, $7.99 for 25 hours and $11.99 for 50 hours. From October 22, 2026, Xbox Insiders will be able to stream games through the paid service without an active Game Pass subscription, according to Eurogamer.

The paid packs are an ad-free version of the free cloud gaming service Microsoft revealed earlier in 2026. Microsoft plans to roll the paid service out to all Xbox players in November.

Paying users will still encounter wait times during peak hours, though the queues will be shorter than on the free tier.

Earlier in 2026, Microsoft said monthly time limits would apply to the paid Xbox cloud gaming service, arguing that only a fraction of players would reach the cap. A report claimed a 15-hour cap on the Game Pass Ultimate cloud gaming service existed because that is the point at which Xbox begins losing money.

The pricing lands well below Sony's now-defunct PlayStation Now, which charged $9.99 for a month of streamed game time more than a decade ago. The announcement also comes during a major Xbox restructuring that will lay off more than 3,000 employees, with further waves reported for later in October, November and January.
