Xbox PC app update hits Insiders with up to 60% faster launch
Microsoft says Home, Store and Game Pass pages load up to 50% faster in the app, as a refreshed web experience begins rolling out.
Xbox has released an updated version of its Xbox PC app to Xbox Insiders, the company said on November 5, 2026, according to news.xbox.com. The build is available to testers starting today through the Xbox Insider Program.
The company says the Xbox PC app now launches up to 60% faster. Pages including Home, Store and Xbox Game Pass load up to 50% faster, and in-app windows open up to 65% faster.
The update also reworks how games are found and organised. The Library has been simplified, with updated filters and new ways to arrange titles, while friends and social features now sit in the main navigation. Search now covers games, installed titles, add-ons and people.
Separately, a refreshed Xbox web experience will roll out to more players automatically over the next few weeks. It adds a Library tab for cloud games, a Desktop mode, dark and light modes, and five new high-contrast options.
Xbox also said it is beginning to bring the refreshed look and navigation to cloud gaming apps on supported TVs and VR headsets. Earlier this year, the company invited Insiders to preview a refreshed way to play through Xbox cloud gaming on the web.
