The free screenings for nightlife communities will run the week of Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., ahead of the film's limited release on Nov. 6.
A24 will hold free screenings of Club Kid for nightlife communities in 12 U.S. cities in partnership with Resident Advisor, the global online platform focused on electronic music, DJs and club scenes, according to Variety.
The screenings are set for the week of Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. local time. The cities hosting them are Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C.
Club Kid opens in limited release on Nov. 6. Jordan Firstman directed, wrote and stars in the film. The cast includes Reggie Absolom, Diego Calva, Cara Delevingne, Paris Petitjen, Coleen Camp, Kirby-Howell Baptiste, Vicki Pepperdine, Nigil Whyte, Eldar Isgandarov, Saturn Risin9, Miss Benny and Alaska Riley.
In May, Club Kid premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received a six-minute standing ovation. After that premiere, A24 acquired the film for $17 million following a bidding war with Mubi, Focus Features, Searchlight and Netflix; Warner Bros.'s new indie label Clockwork and Neon were also early suitors.
Shortly after the deal was signed, Firstman told Variety's Matt Donnelly it had been the best week of his life.
