Adeline Kane Revealed as New Deathstroke in DC Series
A preview of Deathstroke: The Terminator #8 shows Adeline Kane claiming Slade Wilson's contracts as the Merchants of Death accept her.
Adeline Kane has been revealed as the new Deathstroke in DC's Deathstroke: The Terminator, according to screenrant.com. The reveal comes in a preview of Deathstroke: The Terminator #8, which goes on sale October 21 from DC Comics.
In the preview, Adeline tells the Merchants of Death that she is the new Deathstroke and claims Slade Wilson's contracts and alliances. The mercenary syndicate accepts her in the role, and the Body Doubles then attack her in revenge against Slade Wilson.
Adeline is Slade Wilson's ex-wife and the mother of Joseph and Grant Wilson. Her campaign against him began after she contacted Professor Ivo and was seemingly exposed to his experimental procedure to activate dormant superpowers.
Earlier in the series, Adeline dismantled Deathstroke's life: she killed William Randolph Wintergreen and framed Slade for the crime, shot Rose Wilson, also known as Ravager, and set the Merchants of Death on him. The Body Doubles had previously been defeated by Slade Wilson earlier in the run.
Deathstroke: The Terminator is written by Tony Fleecs with art by Carmine Di Giandomenico. Deathstroke debuted in 1980 as a longtime enemy of Batman and the Teen Titans.
