Affleck Details Artists Equity Streaming Revenue Sharing
Ben Affleck said Artists Equity shares all streaming revenue with above-the-line talent and negotiates Netflix bonuses that pay entire crews.
Ben Affleck publicly detailed for the first time how Artists Equity's profit-sharing and Netflix bonus model works, describing the approach in an interview with Variety.
Under the model, the company shares all streaming revenue with above-the-line talent, including screenwriters, directors, actors and producers. Artists Equity also negotiated performance-based bonuses with Netflix that pay out the entire crew of a given film, according to the outlet.
Affleck co-founded Artists Equity four years ago with Matt Damon and RedBird Capital's Gerry Cardinale. The company has become the leading outside producer of Netflix original movies.
