The American Film Institute has added a trio of high-profile titles to the AFI Fest 2026 lineup, with Peter Farrelly's I Play Rocky, Brad Bird's Netflix animated feature Ray Gunn and Martin McDonagh's Wild Horse Nine all set to screen at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood.
I Play Rocky, starring Anthony Ippolito, and Ray Gunn, featuring the voices of Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell, land in the red carpet premieres section. McDonagh's Wild Horse Nine, starring Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich, will screen in the special screenings section.
They join an event that opens with the U.S. premiere of Travis Knight's animated film Wildwood. The festival runs from October 21 to 25.
Other titles on the bill include Tony Gilroy's Behemoth!, starring Pedro Pascal as a gifted cellist, and Florian Zeller's Bunker, starring Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz. Phil Lord and Chris Miller have been tapped as guest artistic directors.
