The team behind the Netflix hit His & Hers is developing a series adaptation of Alice Feeney's upcoming novel Twist with Fifth Season, Deadline reports.
William Oldroyd will write and direct the series. Fifth Season will serve as the studio, with Campout Productions, Freckle Films, and Viva Maude also involved in development.
Twist is a thriller about a flight attendant leading a double life with two husbands and a murder. The book will be published in the U.S. in February 2027 by Macmillan Publishers.
Feeney's growing screen footprint
His & Hers premiered on Netflix in January and was the streamer's most-watched show of the first half of the year, with 104 million views globally from launch through the end of June. It starred Tessa Thompson as a former news anchor and Jon Bernthal as her ex-husband.
Earlier this year, Deadline revealed that Carnival Films was adapting Feeney's book My Husband's Wife, and Beautiful Ugly was in the works as a film from the producers of The Housemaid. Feeney's debut novel Sometimes I Lie was set up at Warner Bros. TV in 2019 with Sarah Michelle Gellar set to star.
