Season 1 of Alien: Earth has climbed back into Hulu's top 10, as viewers return to the series for rewatches, according to collider.com. Production on the show's second season is already underway.
The first season of Alien: Earth premiered on Hulu in 2025. A few months after that season ended, the series was renewed for a second run, and the new season is not expected to return until 2027.
The franchise's film history runs alongside the series. In 2017, Ridley Scott directed Alien: Covenant, and a few years before 2026 he produced Alien: Romulus through Scott Free.
In 2026, Scott's film The Dog Stars was a box office bomb. During that film's press tour, Scott said he was returning to the Alien franchise for a new movie featuring Michael Fassbender's David, and described Alien: Romulus as "just ok."
