Amazon Revives Stargate Reboot with MCU Writer Jac Schaeffer

Amazon has officially revived its planned Stargate series reboot, with Jac Schaeffer attached to the project, according to Screen Rant.

Schaeffer is known for her work on Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, including WandaVision and Agatha All Along. She is now involved in the long-gestating revival of the Stargate franchise.

The original Stargate film premiered in 1994, and the franchise later expanded into multiple television series, including Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. The property is owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which Amazon acquired in 2022.

The revival is being developed for Amazon's Prime Video platform, though further details about the series have not been disclosed.
