Susan Sarandon and Olivia Colman have joined the cast of Army of Shadows, the new series from creator Ronan Bennett, Collider reports. Their roles have not been disclosed.
The show is based on Joseph Kessel's 1943 book and Jean-Pierre Melville's 1969 film of the same name. Bennett's version moves the story to a future in which Britain is under authoritarian rule.
Kit Harington and Paddy Considine are reuniting with Bennett on the series, and America Ferreira and Alex Hassell also appear.
Filming has begun in Paris and London. The series will air on Channel 4 in the UK, while Canal+ will distribute it across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
