Atlas Entertainment, Culture Genesis Sign Development Pact

Atlas Entertainment and Culture Genesis will jointly develop film, TV and short form projects drawn from Culture Genesis' creator talent archive.

Atlas Entertainment and Culture Genesis have signed a development pact to jointly develop film, television and short form titles, the two companies said. The projects will be drawn from Culture Genesis' archive of talent and content.

Under the deal, Atlas will also work with Culture Genesis to develop and package new properties from that archive, alongside other projects.

Culture Genesis operates the CG Collective, which it describes as 190 of YouTube's top creators, among them iShowSpeed, Kai Cenat, REACT, AMP, People vs Food and V10's America's Funniest Home Videos.

The Santa Monica-based company was launched in 2018. It says its portfolio reaches more than 43 million U.S. households each month, with 9.5 billion monthly impressions and 60% of viewing happening on the living-room screen.

Atlas Entertainment's upcoming projects include Michael B. Jordan's redo of "The Thomas Crown Affair" for Amazon MGM Studios and "Road House 2" for Amazon Prime Video. The company is also finishing production on the Imax documentary "Frontier," about photographer Anouk Masson Krantz. Variety reported the development deal.
