Forbes: Avengers: Doomsday Passes $125 Million in Worldwide Presales
The Marvel film's presales already roughly match Supergirl's entire $126.4 million global run, more than six weeks before release.
Avengers: Doomsday has crossed $125 million in worldwide presales, according to Forbes, more than six weeks before the Marvel film opens on December 18, 2026. An estimated $65 million of that total came from US theaters.
The presales figure is roughly equal to the entire global theatrical gross of DC's Supergirl, which finished at $126.4 million worldwide. In Germany, Doomsday sold 118,000 day-one tickets.
Trade projections cited in the reporting have suggested a domestic opening in the $250 million to $300 million range.
The record it is chasing
Spider-Man: Brand New Day holds the all-time presales record at $150 million, a mark it reached during its opening week. Doomsday, directed by the Russo brothers, opens against Dune: Part Three.
Supergirl closed out its theatrical run this summer at $126.4 million worldwide, while Clayface, a $44 million R-rated body horror entry, opened in late October and is tracking toward doubling its budget in two weekends. Earlier in the run-up to Doomsday, Marvel's Kang plans collapsed before Downey returned as a villain.
