Production on Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to be delayed until January 2027, according to multiple reports from scoopers Daniel RPK and Apocalyptic Horseman. Slashfilm's sources have confirmed the reported delay information as legitimate, though Disney has not yet confirmed it.

Secret Wars is currently due to conclude the Multiverse Saga in December 2028. The film's production timeline now appears to hinge on the completion of Doomsday.
Background on the Multiverse Saga
Doomsday was filmed without a finished script, and its original title was Avengers: The Kang Dynasty before Marvel parted ways with Jonathan Majors after he was found guilty of harassment and assault.
Elsewhere in Marvel's slate, the X-Men reboot cast was revealed at D23, with the film expected in theaters on May 5, 2028. Shawn Levy's Ghost Rider starring Ryan Gosling is slated for July 28, 2028, and Black Panther III is slated for December 2028.
In 2025, Thunderbolts* and Captain America: Brave New World fell well short of box office expectations, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day became one of the biggest movies of all time and the Avengers Endgame: Encore re-release performed very well.
