Marvel launches Avengers Volume 10 with new hero Paige Howley
Avengers Volume 10 #1 introduces Paige Howley, a young woman whose talking book Grimsby reveals a deal between her parents and Mephisto.
Marvel has launched Avengers Volume 10 with a first issue that introduces a new hero, Paige Howley, according to screenrant.com. The series is described as a radically different take on the Avengers, and the debut issue is dated November 4, 2026.
Paige is a young woman in her early twenties. Her mother, Julie, works for Amanda Spring, the mayoral rival of Luke Cage, while her father, John, hands her a talking book called Grimsby, described in the second issue's summary as a prophetic book.
Grimsby tells Paige that she is the result of a deal between her parents and Mephisto. Her father John also displays powers of his own, including red eyes, a purple claw and a blood-red sword.
New York comes under attack by apparent angels led by a hammer-wielding warrior called the Adjudicator, and the new Avengers roster includes Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Captain Marvel and Miracleman.
Doom's move on Hell
The launch follows the Avengers Armageddon event, in which the team disbanded after "The Red Hulk Incident." In last week's Captain America #16, Doctor Doom took over Hell and declared all of Mephisto's past deals null and void.
