Behemoth! to Close 27th Newport Beach Film Festival

The 27th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will close with "Behemoth!" on Oct. 22, festival organizers announced. Writer and director Tony Gilroy is set to attend the closing night, and production designer Jade Healy will also be present. Healy will join Gilroy in conversation before the screening.

The festival itself takes place Oct. 15-22. "Behemoth!" is set to premiere on Dec. 4. The film stars Pedro Pascal as cellist Alex Serian, who returns home to Los Angeles after 20 years performing on the road. It features nine composers.

The festival's line-up also includes "A Talent for Murder," "Ink," "Josephine," "La Bola Negra," "The Only Living Pickpocket in New York," "Paper Tiger" and "Wild Horse Nine." Aaron Burns' Jimmy Stewart biopic "Jimmy" will be featured, with cast and crew attending a Q&A.

Last year's festival closed with Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein." The closing night news was reported by Variety.
