Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Black Doves Season 2, and it points to a much more dangerous mission for Keira Knightley's Helen Webb and Ben Whishaw's Sam Young. The new season introduces a conspiracy storyline built around someone systematically killing Black Doves agents.
That threat expands the show's world well beyond the personal entanglements of Season 1, turning the spy thriller into a hunt for whoever is picking off the organization's own people. Knightley and Whishaw return in the lead roles.
The cast is growing too. Ambika Mod and Babou Ceesay join Season 2 as fellow Doves, while Sam Riley, Sylvia Hoeks, Goran Kostic, Samuel Barnett, and Neve Campbell are also new additions.
Series creator Joe Barton has hinted before that Season 2 would widen the story. In December 2024, he told Variety it would be interesting to discover more about the characters and open the scope up a little bit.
