Blade Runner 2049 is set to leave Paramount+ in the United States, according to Collider. The Denis Villeneuve-directed sequel will no longer be available on the streaming service for U.S. subscribers.

The film was released theatrically in 2017 and was produced on a reported budget of $185 million. It ended its run with a $276 million global haul.

Villeneuve directed the sequel to Ridley Scott's original Blade Runner. Scott, who served as an executive producer on the 2017 film, said in an interview not long after its release that he found it "too long."

Scott has recently been vocal about the Alien franchise, describing Alien: Romulus as just "okay" while expressing interest in continuing the Prometheus and Alien: Covenant storyline. Alien: Romulus made more money and received better reviews than Alien: Covenant.
