Blade Runner 2099 Poster Echoes 1982 Original With Michelle Yeoh

Amazon MGM Studios has released a new poster for the Prime Video series Blade Runner 2099, according to movieweb.com. The artwork places Michelle Yeoh’s character, Olwen, at the top holding a gun, in a pose that mirrors Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard on the original 1982 Blade Runner poster. The design also adopts the orange-and-blue split color scheme used for the Blade Runner 2049 poster.

In the series, Yeoh plays Olwen, a blade runner and replicant nearing the end of her life. Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a human posing as a replicant. The story is set in a world where replicants dominate society and humans are second-class citizens.

The original Blade Runner (1982) starred Harrison Ford as a blade runner hunting rogue replicants, and its poster showed his character, Rick Deckard, holding a gun above Rachael and a futuristic Los Angeles. Blade Runner 2049, released in 2017, starred Ryan Gosling as a replicant named K, and its poster was split between orange and blue halves.

All eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 will be released on Prime Video on November 25, 2026.
