BlueBrixx Reveals 859-Piece Destiny Model From Stargate Universe
The €59.95 BlueBrixx-Pro set recreates the Ancient ship at 45.3 cm long, and a 215-piece Seed Ship companion is also listed as Coming Soon.
BlueBrixx has announced an officially licensed brick-built replica of the Destiny, the Ancient spacecraft from Stargate Universe, according to screenrant.com. A companion Seed Ship model is also on the way, and both are listed as Coming Soon on the BlueBrixx website with no confirmed release date and pre-orders not yet open.
The Destiny set contains 859 pieces and measures about 45.3 cm long, 30.4 cm wide and 11.4 cm tall when built. It is part of the BlueBrixx-Pro collection, is recommended for builders aged 14 and older, and is priced at €59.95, roughly $70 USD.
The Seed Ship companion comes in at 215 pieces and €19.95. Like the Destiny, it has no announced launch date.
Part of a wider Stargate line
BlueBrixx has already announced an extensive collection of Stargate models based on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, so the Destiny and Seed Ship extend a lineup that until now drew on the franchise's earlier series.
Stargate Universe premiered in 2009, following the end of Stargate Atlantis. Syfy canceled the series after two seasons in 2011, leaving its story unresolved.
