BlumFest Unveils 2027 Slate, Taps Craig Zobel for 'Something is Killing the Children'

At BlumFest during New York Comic Con 2026, Blumhouse Atomic Monster revealed that Craig Zobel will direct the adaptation of Something is Killing the Children, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The announcement came during the studio's panel at the fan event.
The panel also debuted a trailer for The Exorcist: Martyrs, one of the titles on the studio's 2027 release lineup. That slate includes River, The Revenge of Llorona, The Exorcist: Martyrs, Anything but Ghosts, Paranormal Activity, The Blair Witch Project, Sleepover and Seasons, along with an untitled film set for August 2027.
Game adaptations and comics
Blumhouse Atomic Monster announced a deal with Matthew Patrick to develop films based on indie games and horror channels. The first project from the MatPat deal is a feature film based on the indie game Amanda the Adventurer.
