Blumhouse Atomic Monster Unveils Slate at New York Comic-Con

Kristen Bell joins Violent Night 2 as Mrs. Clause, a Paranormal Activity remake hits theaters May 21, and Grave Seasons launches March 9.

Blumhouse Atomic Monster presented its upcoming film and game slate during a 90-minute panel at New York Comic-Con, according to Variety.

Kristen Bell is joining the cast of Violent Night 2 as Mrs. Clause, alongside David Harbour. A modern remake of Paranormal Activity is in production and is set to release in theaters on May 21. Craig Zobel will direct the adaptation of the comic book Something is Killing the Children, which Blumhouse is developing as both a live-action film and an adult animated television series. The Blumhouse horror game Grave Seasons will launch on March 9.

The Paranormal Activity Broadway play is being extended into February. Blumhouse will also share prize packs including Fortnite codes celebrating the Purge's Lady Liberty as part of Fortnightmares.

In background, Other Mommy debuted this weekend to negative reviews despite major box office success, and Jason Blum revealed that James Wan wanted to call the film Other Mother but was outvoted on the title. Blumhouse is launching a new installment of the Exorcist franchise starring Scarlett Johansson, and Blum has described Paranormal Activity as the film that gave birth to everything Blumhouse has done.
