Buddy Sing-Along Version Hits Theaters October 2

Roadside Attractions will open Buddy: The Sing-Along Version nationwide on Friday, October 2, 2026. The release adds on-screen lyrics for every song in the R-rated horror-comedy, inviting audiences to sing along with the film's musical numbers.

The sing-along edition arrives after a strong theatrical run for Buddy, which has surpassed $25 million at the box office over five weeks. The film posted the biggest opening of 2026 for a title playing on fewer than 1,800 screens, and it stands as Saban Films' highest-grossing release and Roadside Attractions' third-highest-grossing release.

Ahead of the nationwide launch, a Biggest Night Out Gala Premiere will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Alex Theater in Glendale, California. The event sold out within three hours of the ticket announcement.

Director Casper Kelly will attend the premiere alongside actors Delaney Quinn, Madison Skyy Polan, CJ Williams, and Luke Speakman. Kelly co-wrote the film with Jamie King. Buddy stars Cristin Milioti, Delaney Quinn, Patton Oswalt, Michael Shannon, Topher Grace, and Keegan-Michael Key.

The film follows Buddy, a bright orange unicorn who stars in the children's television show It's Buddy!. Its songs include "It's Buddy!," "You've Got to Be Scared to Be Brave," and "The Wrong Place in Town."
