Dynamite Sets Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1 for March 10, 2027

Dynamite Entertainment has scheduled Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1 for release on March 10, 2027. The issue will carry 35 story pages within a 48-page comic and remain priced at $4.99, according to Dynamite.

Kelly Thompson writes the series, with art by Stephen Byrne, colors by Lee Loughridge and letters by Jeff Eckleberry.

Thompson's companion series Angel will also arrive in March, with 32 story pages in a 48-page physical issue.

News of Buffy Summers' return with a new series first broke last summer. The launch was initially anticipated for this fall before being delayed after it "evolved and became more ambitious."

Dynamite said Thompson's story for Buffy Summers grew more complex, leading to a multi-month delay and resolicitation so the series could be "done right and not rushed."
