CBS Orders Undercover Boss Reboot, Two New Unscripted Series
CBS has ordered a reboot of Undercover Boss hosted by Drew Carey, plus new game show Stacks of Cash and competition series 24 Hour Millionaire.
CBS is expanding its unscripted slate with three new series orders. The network announced Wednesday that it has greenlit a reboot of Undercover Boss hosted by Drew Carey, a new game show called Stacks of Cash hosted by Mike O'Malley, and a competition series with the working title 24 Hour Millionaire from the executive producers of Big Brother.
Undercover Boss is currently in pre-production with Carey as host. The reboot brings back a format that originally premiered on CBS in 2010 and aired for 11 seasons, with its most recent season in 2022.
Stacks of Cash, hosted by O'Malley, is further along: the show is in post-production and was filmed in Portugal. The series comes from Studio Lambert.
24 Hour Millionaire has been in development at CBS for more than a year and is now in pre-production. It hails from Fly on the Wall Entertainment, the company behind Big Brother.
