Crystal Lake Footage Teased at Collider Screening Event
Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane and actor William Catlett took part in a Q&A after footage from the Peacock prequel series was shown.
Footage from Crystal Lake, the upcoming Peacock series produced by A24, was teased at a Collider Screening Series event, according to collider.com. The screening was followed by a Q&A with showrunner Brad Caleb Kane and actor William Catlett.
Crystal Lake is a prequel to the 1980 film Friday the 13th, following the past of Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason Voorhees. Linda Cardellini stars as Pam Voorhees, while William Catlett plays the town's police sheriff. Callum Vinson plays a young Jason before he wears the hockey mask.
Kane serves as showrunner on the series. He previously worked on IT: Welcome to Derry, and has said his first Friday the 13th film seen in theaters was Friday the 13th Part III in 3D.
For over 45 years, the Friday the 13th series has been a mainstay of horror cinema and pop culture.
