Curry Barker Says Anything But Ghosts Finished Before Obsession's Wide Release
In a Collider interview, the director said the film was already done when Obsession opened wide and he expects a "free pass" on pressure.
Director Curry Barker said his next film, Anything But Ghosts, was completed before Obsession had its wide theatrical release, according to an interview with Collider. Barker said he expects to get a "free pass" with Anything But Ghosts because he did not face the same pressure while making it.
Barker also said he wants to prove that the pressure that followed Obsession will not affect his work. The director's comments place the two projects on separate timelines: the new film was already finished by the time Obsession reached wide audiences.
Two films, different circumstances
Obsession had its wide theatrical release earlier in 2026 to great success, according to the article. Barker finished filming Anything But Ghosts before that wide opening.
