Dark Matter Season 2 Finale Airs on Apple TV With No Renewal Word
The Blake Crouch adaptation wrapped its second season on October 30, 2026, and Apple TV has not said whether the show will continue.
Dark Matter closed out its second season on Apple TV with its finale airing on Friday, October 30, 2026. The platform has not publicly announced whether the series will continue beyond Season 2, according to Collider.
The second season premiered at the end of August 2026, arriving after a two-year hiatus.
Season 1 debuted on Apple TV in 2024 and adapted the entirety of Blake Crouch's novel. Apple TV renewed the show for a second season even though the first had used up the source material.
Apple TV has kept its own schedule of announcements separate from the shows themselves. Severance was renewed for Season 3 on the same day as its Season 2 finale, but more than a year later no release date has been given, though Season 3 is in production. Pluribus, created by Vince Gilligan, broke Severance's records and was picked up for Season 2, which may not arrive until late 2027 or possibly 2028.
