David Harbour Returns as Frankenstein in Creature Commandos Season 2

The actor says he has already started recording his lines for the DC Studios animated series, which is led by showrunner Dean Lorey.

David Harbour has confirmed he will return as Frankenstein in Creature Commandos Season 2, and said he has already begun recording his lines for the DC Studios animated series, according to Bleeding Cool.

Harbour said some of the characters have "really crazy arcs" in the new season. Creature Commandos is part of the DCU and is run by showrunner Dean Lorey.

The series features a voice cast that includes Sean Gunn as G.I. Robot, Weasel and Maxwell Lord, and Indira Varma as The Bride.

Production updates from the team

Lorey has been sharing progress on the season over the past months. In an April 2025 Instagram post, he shared the title page of the first Season 2 script, and on July 4 he said he had watched an animatic for Season 2, Episode 6 and that the season will run 10 episodes.

He also described an animatic of The Bride at an airport that was reworked into a '40s musical-style montage, and teased that G.I. Robot has a major story in Season 2. In September, Sean Gunn said recording was underway and that G.I. Robot and Weasel were on the docket.

James Gunn has said the Season 2 release window would fall shortly after Man of Tomorrow arrives next summer, possibly in Fall 2027. Sean Gunn has also said Maxwell Lord will appear in the DCU "more than once", without specifying where or when.
