DC Studios Eyes 2028 Release for Animated Mister Miracle Series

Peter Safran says animatics for all eight 30-minute episodes have been screened and that no official release date has been announced.

DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran said the studio's animated series Mister Miracle is being eyed for a 2028 release, and that he has already screened animatics for the entire season. No release date has been officially announced, Safran said, according to bleedingcool.com.

The season consists of eight 30-minute episodes. Safran suggested the series could continue beyond one season, citing stories about Scott Free, Big Barda and their child.

Josh Hutcherson voices Scott Free and Mackenzie Davis voices Big Barda. Safran had previously revealed both castings in an earlier interview.

In January, writer Tom King spoke with The Brave and the Boys podcast about how essential the auditions were for casting the voices. In May at WonderCon, King said the animated series is "my whole life right now" and that he was writing the season's scripts, taking a page from James Gunn's approach with Creature Commandos.
