Michael Sarnoski, the director of the upcoming A24 adaptation of Death Stranding, has revealed that he has started location scouting for the film. Sarnoski posted an Instagram selfie from Iceland showing a rocky landscape, and also shared a video on Twitter of the location, which resembles the terrain from the Death Stranding games.

No casting or release date has been announced for the Death Stranding movie.

In June, Sarnoski told IGN that he was writing the script and was almost done, and that he was working on script revisions. He also said that Hideo Kojima, the creator of the game, was letting him tell a story with his own characters while staying honest to the game, and that Kojima was excited and happy with it.

Kojima has stated he wouldn't be too involved in the creative process. He is currently working on two games, O.D. and Physint.
