DC's Deathstroke: The Terminator reveals Merchants of Death syndicate

A preview of Deathstroke: The Terminator #8 shows the modern-day members of the Merchants of Death, the assassin syndicate Deathstroke founded to enforce his rules.

DC's Deathstroke: The Terminator has added the Merchants of Death to canon, a secret syndicate of assassins bound by a code Deathstroke himself set, according to screenrant.com. A preview of issue #8 shows the group's modern-day members.

The series is written by Tony Fleecs with art by Carmine Di Giandomenico. Deathstroke formed the Merchants of Death after his son's death, laying down rules for assassins: follow orders, keep family off-limits, take no credit or freebies, stay exclusive to the syndicate and keep it discreet. Members are tasked with killing any member who breaks those rules.

A hidden rival moves on the syndicate

The preview of issue #8 shows Deathstroke's hidden enemy trying to take his place in the syndicate, setting up a fight over control of the organization he built.

Deathstroke's son, Grant Wilson, died in 1980's The New Teen Titans #2 after taking superhuman enhancements to go after the Teen Titans. In the current series, Deathstroke is pursued by members of the Merchants of Death after being framed for killing W.R. Wintergreen.
