Diane Warren to Write Original Song for Giorgio Armani Biopic

Diane Warren will write the original song for Armani: The King of Fashion, the upcoming biopic of Giorgio Armani directed by Bille August, according to deadline.com.

Producer Andrea Iervolino said Warren joined the film after he called to ask her. The two previously collaborated on Tell It Like A Woman and on the upcoming biopic Maserati: The Brothers.

The film will explore Giorgio Armani's life from his beginnings in Piacenza to his international impact on fashion, design and culture.

Bobby Moresco, who wrote Crash, is writing the screenplay. A start date and cast for the film have yet to be revealed.

Warren is an honorary Oscar winner and has received 17 Academy Award nominations, the most of any individual without a win.

Armani family objection

This summer, the Armani Group and family said they have not authorized Iervolino's planned biopic of the late fashion designer and will not participate in its creation. Giorgio Armani passed away on September 4 at the age of 91 due to liver failure.
