Disney Announces Fifth Halloweentown Movie in the Works
Disney has confirmed a new Halloweentown film is in development, but no story or casting details have been revealed yet.
Disney has announced that a fifth Halloweentown movie is in the works. No story details or casting information for Halloweentown 5 have been revealed yet.
The previous installment, Return to Halloweentown, was released in 2006, according to comingsoon.net. That film recast the lead role of Marnie Piper, with Sara Paxton taking over from Kimberly J. Brown, who had played the character in the first three movies.
At the time, the recasting reportedly followed a breakdown in contract negotiations between Disney and Brown. In 2024, producer Sheri Singer claimed that Brown and her team had sought a rich deal that Disney would not agree to, leading to the change.
Return to Halloweentown featured Paxton in a dual role, also playing a teenage version of the character Aggie Cromwell. Further details about the fifth film are expected to be announced at a later date.
