Disney Licenses Percy Jackson and Ice Age Titles to Netflix
Seasons 1 and 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and all five Ice Age movies arrive on Netflix for a three-month window.
Disney Entertainment and Netflix have signed a licensing agreement that brings several Disney-owned titles to Netflix, according to slashfilm.com. Under the deal, Seasons 1 and 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and all five Ice Age movies are now available to stream on Netflix.
The titles will stay on Netflix for a limited window of three months. Neither company announced a different term for the two sets of titles.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 will premiere on November 20, 2025, exclusive to Disney+. The series is based on the book series by Rick Riordan, who co-created the TV show with Jonathan E. Steinberg.
Ice Age joined the Disney library through the studio's acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019. Blue Sky Studios, the animation house behind the films, was shut down by Disney a couple of years later as part of pandemic-era cuts.
One later entry in the franchise is not part of the Netflix deal: The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, released exclusively on Disney+ in 2022, is not included. Ice Age: Boiling Point is set to arrive in theaters on February 5, 2027.
