Dinniman posts new Book 9 chapters, interlude on Patreon
The Dungeon Crawler Carl author shared five chapters and a new interlude from the ninth book, working title The Beautiful Place, with supporters.
Matt Dinniman has released the first 5 chapters and a new interlude of Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 9, working title The Beautiful Place, to Patreon supporters, according to screenrant.com. The post follows a piecemeal rollout of early material from the next instalment of the series.
The first 2 chapters of Book 9 had already been distributed in August, and 3 new full chapters were revealed earlier last week. The latest batch brings readers to the opening of the book plus an interlude that sits outside the main chapter count.
Dinniman has said Book 9 will be split into 2 volumes and is set on the 12th floor. The author attributed the wait for new material to travel, a car accident, a move and food poisoning.
Book 8 was released earlier in 2026. Beyond the prose series, a Dungeon Crawler Carl tabletop RPG and the Unstoppable deck-building game are scheduled for release in November 2026, and a Deluxe edition of the original Dungeon Crawler Carl is due later in 2026, before the holiday season.
