Dynasty Sports Film Festival Sets South Bend Launch

The Dynasty Sports Film Festival will launch in South Bend, Indiana, running from October 22 to October 25. Founded and presented by Shade Studios, the event will screen films and series across six awards categories: narrative features, documentaries, shorts, brand films, student films, and social and digital creator content.

Opening night features the world premiere of the documentary Lou Holtz: 60 Minutes to Play and a Lifetime to Remember, followed by a Q&A moderated by ESPN's Hannah Storm with director Ted Mandell.

On October 23, Prime Video's drama series The Greatest, about Muhammad Ali, will hold a sneak-peek screening of its first episode. The ESPN documentary The Brittney Griner Story also screens that day.

October 24 brings a 40th anniversary director's cut screening of Hoosiers with a Q&A featuring director David Anspaugh and screenwriter Angelo Pizzo, plus First Five, about Bob Knight's first recruiting class at Indiana University, with a Q&A featuring John Laskowski. The ESPN documentary Give Me the Ball!, featuring Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Serena Williams, and Elton John, will also screen.

The festival closes on October 25 with a 20th anniversary screening of Cars. Additional programming will be announced at a later date. Jurors include Angelo Pizzo, Eugene Lee, Deirdre Boyle, Maura Shea, Fede Goldenberg, Wilson Morales, Dr. Galen Clavio, and Ted Mandell.
