Emily Hampshire Says E.D.I.T.H. Brings 'Weekend' Energy to VisionQuest

The actress says she wanted the AI character in the Disney+ series to feel like the same personality fans met in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Emily Hampshire has explained how Spider-Man: Far From Home shaped the version of E.D.I.T.H. she voices in the Disney+ series VisionQuest, according to an interview shared by DiscussingFilm and reported by comingsoon.net.

Hampshire said she wanted the E.D.I.T.H. in VisionQuest to feel like the same character from Spider-Man, describing the film version as being at her job and the series version as the weekend.

She added that E.D.I.T.H. now wants to be the fun B-hero rather than just a technical assistant.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, released in 2019, E.D.I.T.H. was an AI created by Tony Stark and given to Peter Parker inside a pair of sunglasses.

VisionQuest continues releasing new episodes on Disney+ until the series concludes in November. The cast includes Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica and Todd Stashwick.
