Comics and a TV Adaptation
Event Horizon first released nearly 30 years before the book's publication, with its 30th anniversary falling on August 15, 2027. The Event Horizon: Inferno comics have been a hit among hardcore fans, and a Pandemonium prequel comic was newly announced.
An Event Horizon television adaptation was announced as being in development at Amazon in 2019. In a March 2024 interview with Inverse, director Adam Wingard confirmed a script existed for the series, though it had yet to gain momentum. The making-of book was originally scheduled to release in 2026 before being pushed back to August 2027. Janine Pipe previously wrote behind-the-scenes books about Dog Soldiers and The Descent.
