Falcon Takes Indonesian Rights to 'Enjoy Your Stay' After Jakarta Premiere
The Dominik Locher and Honeylyn Joy Alipio film had its Indonesian premiere at Jakarta World Cinema before Falcon picked up local distribution rights.
Falcon has acquired Indonesian distribution rights to Enjoy Your Stay, the film directed by Dominik Locher and Honeylyn Joy Alipio, according to Variety. The deal follows the film's Indonesian premiere at Jakarta World Cinema.
Locher and Alipio co-wrote the film as well as directing it. Close Up Films produced Enjoy Your Stay, with JBA Production co-producing and Be For Films handling sales.
The acquisition gives the film a local distributor after its run on the festival circuit. Enjoy Your Stay had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February, and later screened at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, where the filmmakers took part in a panel with an organization supporting undocumented workers.
Locher and Alipio first met at the Busan International Film Festival.
Next project in development
The filmmakers' next project is Partner Zone, about a Swiss ESG auditor examining a gold mine in the Philippines. The film is at the research stage, with scripting planned for 2027 and 90% of the shoot set for the Philippines and the rest in Geneva. Variety first reported on Partner Zone in February.
