For All Mankind is heading toward a planned conclusion. The Apple TV series, which debuted in 2019, will end with its sixth season, according to co-creators Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi.
The show is set in an alternate timeline where the Soviets landed on the Moon before the United States. Wolpert and Nedivi said the series was always intended to end in Season 6 and reach the present day.
Season 5 marks a major turning point for the story. Ed Baldwin, played by Joel Kinnaman, dies early in the season. His grandson Alex — the first human born off Earth — becomes the show's new main character.
In Season 5, Alex joins the Happy Valley rebellion against the M-6 on Earth. Aleida Rosales remains the only character who has appeared since Season 1, and by Season 5 she is 51 and serving as CEO of Helios Aerospace.
